MADISON, Fla. – On Tuesday, September 17, 2025, the North Florida College Board of Trustees confirmed
October 1st as the official start of Dr. Jennifer Humbles Page’s presidency. An investiture
for Dr. Page will be held November 18, 2025.
The journey of Dr. Page is woven into the story of NFC and the region it serves. From
her days as a young student on campus to her steady rise through the College’s leadership
ranks, Page has dedicated her life to education, community, and the transformative
power of opportunity. Now, she will carry that commitment forward as NFC’s ninth president.
Page’s appointment follows the leadership of Dr. John Grosskopf, who announced earlier
this year that he would step down in December due to health concerns after serving
17 years as NFC’s eighth president. Grosskopf will continue at NFC as a faculty member
in the English Department, ensuring his experience and dedication to student success
remain part of the College’s future.
“For more than a decade, Dr. Grosskopf has guided NFC through historic growth and
transformation,” said NFC Board of Trustees Chair Ricky Lyons. “Dr. Page’s vision
and deep ties to our community make her the ideal leader to carry that legacy forward.”
For Page, stepping into this role is more than a career milestone, it’s a chance to
deepen her service to the College and community that have defined her journey.
“North Florida College gave me my start, and it changed the course of my life,” Page
said. “As president, my vision is to expand opportunity, strengthen programs, and
ensure that every student who walks onto our campus leaves empowered to create the
future they deserve.”
A Story Anchored in North Florida
A native of Suwannee County, Page understands the heart of rural North Florida and
the promise that education brings to its communities. She earned her associate in
arts degree at NFC, before continuing to Florida State University for a bachelor’s
degree in English education. After, she continued to the University of North Florida
for a master’s degree in secondary education before ultimately completing her doctorate
in higher education leadership at Aspen University.
Her career has taken her from local classrooms, where she taught English, to NFC,
where she has spent 15 years transforming academic programs, student services and
institutional strategy. She has served as faculty, coordinator of the Academic Success
Center, director of curriculum and instruction, dean of academic affairs and most
recently vice president of academic and student affairs. Along the way, she became
known for her ability to unite people, champion innovation and always put students
first.
Building on Strength, Leading with Vision
Page’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for the College and the six rural counties
it serves. With a proven record of leadership and community partnerships, she is prepared
to guide NFC into a new era of growth and innovation.
Her priorities include:
- Expanding workforce training and academic pathways to prepare students for meaningful careers that keep talent in the region.
- Strengthening student support systems to lift all learners, especially those from rural and underserved backgrounds.
- Growing community and industry partnerships that connect the classroom to real-world opportunities.
Page has also distinguished herself on the state level, serving on the Florida College
System Council on Instructional Affairs and the Florida Virtual Campus Member Council.
She is a graduate of the Florida College System Chancellor’s Leadership Seminar and
the Chair Academy for Leadership and Development in Higher Education.
A Hometown Leader for Tomorrow
As she begins her presidency, Page carries with her the belief that NFC is more than
a college, it is the heart of opportunity for North Florida.
“Every decision I make will be anchored in what’s best for our students and our community,”
she said. “NFC is a lifeline for the families and towns we serve. Together, we will
build on its proud heritage and create new opportunities that transform lives.”
With a career devoted to serving rural learners, Dr. Jennifer Humbles Page represents
both NFC’s proud past and its promising future—leading with purpose, inspired by community,
and committed to building brighter tomorrows for North Florida.
